The Wife after God by Jennifer Smith is an amazing 30-day marriage devotional geared to draw you closer to God and your husband. I am in love with this book. She explains things in such an elegant, yet explosive way, it gets you thinking totally different than before. She gives great ways to reflect on how you view your relationship with your husband. She also gives insight into how getting closer to God daily will help you get closer to your husband. I love that she gives daily challenges and journal questions to answer about your relationship with your husband and with God. I love how she gives examples of real-life situations you can relate to. I personally have been able to grow in my relationship with God and my husband with daily prayer through this book. Some of my favorite topics are "Transforming Love" 'Perfect Posture" "Coated in Pride" and "Diamond in the ruff" If you're wanting to transform your relationship with your husband and get a better understanding of how God created our relationship, This is the book for you. I have no problem picking up and reading. I actually find myself wanting to wake up and read this first thing instead of other devotionals I've purchased, only reading it a couple of times and never picking it back up.
